The difference between PV cables and ordinary cables

1. Photovoltaic cable:

Conductor: Copper conductor or tinned copper conductor

Insulation: Radiation cross-linked polyolefin insulation

Sheath: Irradiation cross-linked polyolefin insulation

2. Ordinary cable:

Conductor: Copper conductor or tinned copper conductor

Insulation: PVC or cross-linked polyethylene insulation

Sheath: PVC sheath

From the above, it can be seen that the conductors used in ordinary cables are the same as those in photovoltaic cables.

It can be seen from the above that the insulation and sheath of ordinary cables are different from photovoltaic cables.

Ordinary cables are only suitable for laying in ordinary environments, while photovoltaic cables are resistant to high temperature, cold, oil, acid, alkali and salt, anti-ultraviolet, flame retardant and environmentally friendly.  Photovoltaic power cables are mainly used in harsh climates and have a long service life. More than 25 years.
